Get out of the way!
The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:25,26 How many times do trials or troubles come our way that we try to solve? More often than not we try to solve them ourselves rather than wait on God. God wants us to wait on him. For most of us this is a hard thing to do. Oswald Chambers once said "one of the greatest strains in life is the strain of waiting for God". Too many times we get in the way when we try to do things our way rather than doing it God's way. God's way is best ---- ALWAYS!!!. Isaiah tells us in his writings that if we wait upon the LORD our strength will be renewed (40:31). Trying to do things our ways leaves us with our strength depleted, not renewed. Our thoughts and our ways are just that -- Ours!(Isaiah 55:8). Let us try it God's way, watch him work that we may praise him and give God the glory (Psalm 46:10). |
