What is your goal ?
| "Let the words of my mouth, and
the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight , O Lord, my
strength, and my redeemer." Psalm 19:14 This should be the goal of every one who claims Christ as Saviour. The first part of this verse is easy for most of us .The majority of us have mastered this. The second part however ("and the meditation of my heart"), is where we run into problems. Many view this as personal, my business, it doesn't matter what I think as long as I say what is right. Right?.Wrong, we are told to keep(guard) our hearts with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. According to God, it does matter and it matters a great deal. If you are only saying what is right but not thinking what's right, eventually you will slip up. You will fail. Just as the old Hymn says "The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own". It is time to get brutally honest with God, He knows everything all ready, we are just fooling ourselves. It is time to say as did the psalmist "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting" Psalm 139:23-24.
